Police Overtime

The Police Overtime dataset captures sworn-officer overtime, line item by line item, with each entry classified into an overtime category: Special Events, Court, Extended Tours, Replacement Personnel, or Additional Tour / Call-out. Each record includes the officer, date, category, a description of the activity, the fiscal year, and the number of overtime hours paid (the dataset reports hours, not dollars). It covers fiscal years 2023 through 2026 (year-to-date) and is matched to officers by employee id, enabling analysis of how overtime is used across the department and by individual officers.
